3 Easy Tips To Take Down an Artifical Christmas Tree

We know the struggle can be real for those of us who need to take down and store an artificial Christmas tree.

Fret not!

No matter if you plan to take down your artificial Christmas tree before New Year’s or if you decide to tackle it in mid-January, here are 3 Easy Tips to Take Down an Artificial Christmas Tree.

Supplies:

*Pratt Retail Specialties 20 in x 1000 ft 80 Gauge Heavy Duty Stretch Wrap

*Scissors

*Scotch tape

*Original Christmas Tree Box

*Pressure

Step #1 - Safely Remove Your Current Decor

I always organize and bubble wrap my holiday decor, then store it in labeled bins to help me decorate more efficiently in the next coming year.

Feel free to use a label maker or grab some painter’s tape and a sharpie to label your bins so that you will be able to identify placement for the following year.

Trust me, this ProTip is guaranteed to cut your holiday decorating time in half.

Step #2 - Apply that Pressure…

Yes, you read that correctly… PRESSURE was applied!

After disassembling the artificial Christmas tree into 3-sections, my husband assisted me by squeezing and anchoring each section on the floor before applying pressure while I shrink-wrapped.

Easy as 1, 2, 3…

Step #3 - Store It Away with Ease

Now you can see that they have been properly shrink-wrapped, I placed all 3-sections of our lovely Downswept Douglas Fir 7.5ft Artificial Christmas tree back into the original factory box with ease.

The 3-sections of the tree are not bulking out the box in any shape, form, or fashion in the image below. It fits perfectly in the box that it was shipped in for easy upright storage in our garage. If you live in an apartment or have limited space, you can it in a closet until next year.

Now, this would have been a perfect blog if I didn’t tell you that I forgot to put the tree stand back in the box before I taped it…😂! Aye-ye-ye…Martha!

XOXO ~ Martha
