Christmas Home Tour 2021

In our Seasonal Vibes Part 3, we invite you to tour our Christmas Home 2021.

The theme this year is Woodsy Charm with a touch of warmth and cozy. At heart, I am still a country Mississippi girl that craves simplicity, but you will see that I love to sprinkle in a little glam throughout my designs especially at Christmas. The earthy color palette I chose consists of mixed metals such as silver mercury glass, champagne gold, and silver with tons of birchwood, pinecones, evergreen pine needles, white berries, and snow.

I love to start Christmas decorating in the entryway. This year I decided to add a fun trio of Christmas tree styles and sizes to our console table along with a trio of decorative ceramic jars and a handmade angel from a colleague that I love so dearly.

Pro Tip: Remember to group small, medium, and large decor elements in odd numbers to create a more appealing design.

Also, I simply added pinecones from my backyard in a decorative tray to complete the entryway console design.

Above our tree hall, I swapped out my seasonal florals with Christmas decorative white berry picks to keep the design flow cohesive and added Christmas pillows.

Lastly, I decorated the stairwell with a faux pre-lit garland and added decorative white berry and pinecone picks.

I just love how this tree turned out this year! Please trust and believe me when I tell you that the beauty in this tree is not justified in these images.

It is heavily flocked with white snow, wooden ornaments, glitzy champagne gold poinsettias, snow-frosted pinecones, handmade pampas ornaments, matte and sparkly chocolate, and champagne gold ornaments, striped burlap, and white glittery ornaments, and wooden Peace ornaments that I found at Hobby Lobby last season. Lastly, the beautiful flocked wooden star completed the Christmas tree design that I was going for.

The inspiration behind decorating this Christmas tree was to bring in an organic vibe with elegance and I’m so happy how these mixed decor elements came together in this beautiful design.

The antelope gift wrap from Ballard Designs is absolutely stunning! To wrap early gifts, I used this wrapping paper, twine, and evergreen pine needles to complement the beautiful Christmas tree design.

The coffee table centerpiece is simply a tray filled with snow-frosted pinecones and evergreen pine needles in a decorative tray.

The corner end table holds a miniature flocked Christmas tree that’s filled with white berries, white decorative picks, and pinecones nestled in a rattan wooden basket. I just love to catch a glance at this cute display in my peripheral view as I sit and work at my office desk.

Decorating our dining room table for Christmas was pretty simple and budget-friendly. I used a decorative tray, two glass candle jars, and two 4x10in pillar candles from Dollar Tree that I already had, and I purchased a bag of White Gilded Pine Potpourri from Hobby Lobby to create my wintry looking centerpiece. The potpourri smells so wonderful, it consists of small chunks of birchwood, pinecones, acorns, and a decorative white pear that echos my Christmas theme. I also added white berries to the decorative tray to enhance the design flow of continuity. Secondly, I placed decorative flocked pine needles and pinecone picks into my seasonal vases. These 3 decor elements complement each other and fill the center of my dining table to give it a complete look and feel.

Pro Tip: Remember the dining table should always be aesthetically pleasing, keep it simple sweetie.

Sidenote: I so miss Pier1, I purchased these white berry kissing balls years ago from there and I decided to hang 1 each on my wooden wall decor. It’s a nice contrast on that SW Naval wall.

Next, we move on to decorating our living room for Christmas. The Christmas tree in this space is fancy y’all, she commands attention😄!

I am so thrilled with how these shimmering mixed metals came together in this space. Our neutral family room palette provides a clean backdrop for these charming decorations. ProTip: I added in a few pops of ivory ornaments with silver swirls to add depth to our tree, it forces your eyes to move around with ease. The champagne gold glittery feathers are gorgeous! They drop down in length and help cover gaps in this tree design. I used multicolored decorative picks with pops of ivory to increase the appeal, added a few pinecones picks, and inserted glitzy silver berry picks to add more sparkle. I used silver mercury, silver, champagne gold, and ivory ornaments in tying this design. Rather than using the traditional tree-topper star, I opted for a hand full of champagne berry picks.

I repeated last year's mantle decor, it totally worked with this year's theme.

I would say the best time to decorate for Christmas is the third week in November if you plan to entertain for Thanksgiving or the first week of December to indulge in the Christmas cheer.
